This wonderful, collaborative opportunity with a successful and principled company developed over a short period of discussion in October and November. I have known the agency since its creation by Darcie Duncan in 2001, then as a one-person, one-room operation, to the significant brokerage and property management business it is today. Possessing all of today's technology necessary for both residential and commercial brokerage and property management in this new age, Duncan Real Estate places emphasis on professional and personal relationships and face to face contact with customers and clients. For a person like me, with five decades of experince in the real estate business, this high-tech, high-touch attitude is critical.
The real estate profession has allowed me freedom in my career to hold elected office in both Florida and New York, to direct a publicly held bank through a troubled economic time, to lead a Chamber of Commerce, and even to found and build a successful nonprofit producing theater company. I have had a great and fortunate run in life and it is all a solid foundation for this new chapter.
The author of this post is Tom Aposporos, a licensed real estate broker in both Florida and New York. In a business career of more than four decades, he also served as mayor of his home city, a commissioner in his adopted island city, and chaired a publicly-owned bank through a period of financial recovery. These experiences have enhanced his knowledge and have brought additional dimension to his real estate career.
